The Project
I produced two promotional films for historian and author Vikram Sampath in support of his two-volume biography on Veer Savarkar.
Beyond Commercial Work
The project aimed to capture both factual elements and the ideological dimensions surrounding this historical figure. This wasn’t merely commercial work but represented an opportunity to engage with and visually preserve a legacy I deeply respect within contemporary discourse.
A Civilizational Figure
Savarkar remains one of the most consequential yet contested figures in Indian history. Through these promotional pieces, we sought to present his story with the gravity and nuance it deserves, honoring both the man and the meticulous research Vikram Sampath brought to his biography.
